Yusuf Eren Gerek
I'm Yusuf Eren Gerek, a developer passionate about crafting clean, accessible, and performant digital experiences. My journey into software development began back in middle school, when I discovered how powerful it felt to bring ideas to life through code.
Throughout high school, I focused on web-based development, exploring the harmony between thoughtful design and robust engineering through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Later, I expanded my interests beyond the web — diving into embedded systems, desktop development, and GUI design, where I honed my skills in creating intuitive and visually consistent applications.
Today, I'm a third-year Computer Engineering student, actively researching and developing solutions in artificial intelligence and neural networks. My current work blends creativity with intelligent systems — building AI-powered and AI-assisted applications that push the boundaries of what's possible on the web.
I'm driven by curiosity, precision, and a deep appreciation for both the art and science of development — creating experiences that don't just work, but feel extraordinary.
Web Services
I dedicated myself to mastering the fundamentals of web development, focusing intensely on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. What began as a simple curiosity quickly grew into a passion for creating intuitive and visually refined user experiences. I spent countless hours experimenting with layouts, animations, and responsive design — learning not just how to make websites work, but how to make them feel right. Through building small personal projects and redesigning existing interfaces, I gained a deep understanding of how structure, style, and interactivity come together to shape the web. These years were crucial in forming my technical foundation, teaching me the importance of clean, maintainable code and attention to detail. By the end of this period, I had developed both the confidence and the discipline to take on more complex front-end challenges.
Desktop Development
Between 2021 and 2023, my focus shifted toward embedded systems and desktop application development, where I explored how software interacts more directly with hardware and user environments. I immersed myself in building GUI-based desktop applications, learning to design interfaces that are both functional and visually consistent. This period allowed me to bridge the gap between low-level logic and high-level user experience, combining efficiency with thoughtful design. Working with microcontrollers, hardware components, and desktop frameworks taught me how to create reliable systems that perform seamlessly in real-world conditions. Beyond just programming, I developed an appreciation for system design, performance optimization, and user-centric development. These experiences strengthened my technical depth and broadened my perspective as a developer, preparing me to tackle more advanced challenges across both hardware and software domains.
CyberSec & AI
My journey evolved toward the fields of artificial intelligence, neural networks, and cybersecurity — areas where innovation and complexity converge. As a Computer Engineering student, I focused on understanding how intelligent systems learn, adapt, and make decisions, while simultaneously deepening my knowledge of security principles that safeguard digital environments. During this period, I earned two professional certifications from Hackviser: CAPT (Certified Advanced Penetration Tester) and CWSE (Certified Web Security Expert). These certifications strengthened my understanding of network vulnerabilities, secure coding, and ethical hacking practices. Alongside my academic and professional growth, I’ve been developing AI-driven and AI-assisted applications, blending data, algorithms, and user experience to create practical, innovative solutions. This phase solidified my vision of building technology that is not only intelligent but also secure and reliable.
